We want you to be as informed as possible about your health. These questions are typical of those we have received from our patients.

Dr. Lindstrom's most common Gynecology visits are: Well-Woman Exams, Contraceptive Counseling, STD Testing. While these are the most common, there is a plethora of other Gynecology appointments Dr. Lindstrom sees patients for!
Patients 21 and over should have an annual Well Woman's Exam each year. This exam includes, Pap Smear, breast exam, prescription refills, receive order for mammograms and blood work, if necessary.
Patients over the age of 40 should complete a routine mammogram screening once a year. Patients under the age of 40 should complete a mammogram if there are any breast abnormalities, such as a lump.
Dr. Lindstrom offers a variety of conception methods to help fit the needs of each individual patients. He offers IUD's, pills, shots, tubal ligation, and ablation. Not sure what method of contraception is the best for you? Schedule an appointment!
HPV or human papilloma virus is a viral form of a STD. It is very common, about 8 out of 10 women will have had HPV by the time they are 50. While HPV is common, cervical cancer is not. If you have HPV but your Pap is normal, there is no medical concern. If you have HPV and your Pap comes back with abnormalities, Dr. Lindstrom will complete a colposcopy to take a closer look at your cervix. There is no FDA-approved HPV test for men. Fortunately, health problems from HPV is rare in men.
While every woman's cycle is different, there are a variety of different options to help you be more comfortable during your period. Dr. Lindstrom offers a variety of methods to help control excessive, heavy bleeding. Depending on your individual needs, your options may or may not include endometrial ablation, laparascopy, hysteroscopy, or contraception. Schedule an appointment to see what option is best for you.
